"إنبي" تنظم احتفالاً باليوم العالمي للسلامة والصحة المهنية
ENPPI, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, celebrated the World Day for Safety and Health at Work recently. This is in line with the Ministry's commitment to establishing a culture of safety and security under the leadership of Eng. Tarek El-Molla.
The event was held at the company's headquarters and at various domestic and international project sites, with the theme "The Effects of Climate Change on Occupational Safety and Health for Workers and Risks to the Work Environment, and Methods of Control to Achieve a Safe Working Environment." The celebration was graced by the presence of Eng. Ahmed Mustafa, Deputy Chairman of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation for Production; Dr. Gamal Fathi, the Minister's Advisor for Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Protection; Dr. Mohamed Abu Zaid, General Manager of Occupational Safety and Health at the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation; Eng. Juan David Lopez, Project Manager of Midor Expansion at Technip; Dr. Hatem El-Abd, Director of the Center for Middle East Research and Future Studies; Dr. Fawzy Shaaban, Former General Manager of Occupational Safety and Health at ENPPI; and other leaders from the Ministry, the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, the Labor Force Occupational Safety and Health Office, international partners, company management, and employees.
The day's events began with a speech by Eng. Wael Lotfy Mustafa, Chairman and Managing Director of ENPPI, emphasizing the importance of occupational safety and health in the workplace. He stated that it is a core component of the petroleum sector's vision and the sector's development and modernization project. ENPPI's Chairman stressed that occupational safety and health requirements are a journey that must be undertaken from the outset of any company endeavor, with meticulous attention paid to each step and adherence to all safety requirements throughout project implementation, from engineering design, procurement, and construction to pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project completion without accidents or losses. He also stressed the need to maintain exceptional performance in occupational safety and health compared to international standards and the performance of global companies, as well as to instill a culture of safety and health at the senior management level and ensure full commitment to its requirements as a foundation for changing the culture among all employees.
